This year's mural was inspired by the iconic image "Greetings from Asbury Park" and the many postcards and billboards from across the country that resemble the image. We were lucky to have the assistance of a former Hamilton student to lay out the lettering. Erin Ellis designed a custom font for our wall which provided the students with a fantastic starting point for their work. This mural is 48' long and is the first thing visitors will see when you enter the building.
#HamiltonRocks! is a social practice art project that was started in Hamilton Township, NJ on August 21, 2016. In under month, the group had over 4,700 members - all of whom were excitedly painting, hiding, and hunting rocks! This project has been designed to engage the community in the act of making art and being creative while spreading joy and kindness freely to strangers. Check out some press on the project:
