I keep arranging all these paintings (24 as of this minute) and admiring my work. That sounds horribly vain, but it's true. I like what I'm producing! As I played with my completed paintings this afternoon I determined there is no way I can relinquish the five 4x4" pieces - I love them too much. I decided to try copying one on a larger panel to see what would happen. On the left is a 6x6" version of the painting on the right (4x4" created 3/19). The result is fine but I feel very strange about it - as though I'm looking at a forgery. I'm not sure if I'll copy the other 4x4s or just hold on to them and create new compositions to replace them. I'm pleased with the progress I'm making toward my goal and deadline so I have some time to ponder this idea a bit. Your thoughts are welcome and appreciated. How would you feel receiving a copy? Would you care? Do I need to reveal that this is a copy?

Lora Marie DurrDuring my undergraduate studies, I spent a great deal of time in the painting studio working with traditional oils. Teaching middle school art for the past 12 years has taken me away from those roots. This "one a day" project is aimed at re-inspiring that creativity and technique. Archives
