My initial plan was to create 49 images of Dublin Creators Farm at 4"x4" each, mounting the lot on a 42"x42" board that is collaged with construction plans. 49 paintings does not cause me pause, it actually sounds like very few to be completed over a full year. I consulted with my friendly neighborhood shop teacher about building the base for this piece. He suggested I lay this out in paper before he started to build. Thank goodness he did because 49 paintings at 4x4 each is a really large piece and might just be overkill on the idea. As such, I have decided that 36 paintings will do the trick and be less obnoxious while achieving my desired effect.
Now, if only the farm could be planted...

Lora Marie DurrDuring my undergraduate studies, I spent a great deal of time in the painting studio working with traditional oils. Teaching middle school art for the past 12 years has taken me away from those roots. This "one a day" project is aimed at re-inspiring that creativity and technique. Archives
