Today I found myself short on motivation for painting. I feel like there are so many more pressing things to do - plan for the college course I will be teaching in a few weeks, plan for the new school year, plan for the activity I will be running at Artworks this Saturday... Who has time to paint with all those "plans" hanging over her head? I wasn't in the mood to paint but forced myself into the studio anyway. I am not dissatisfied with the results, but I'm also not impressed. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day and I have plenty of kachina's left in my brush.

Lora Marie DurrDuring my undergraduate studies, I spent a great deal of time in the painting studio working with traditional oils. Teaching middle school art for the past 12 years has taken me away from those roots. This "one a day" project is aimed at re-inspiring that creativity and technique. Archives
