I've not used cerulean blue in a while. There's no good reason for the omission of this color on my palette. I've overcompensated for that a sense in today's second painting.
Did I mention I have a new deadline looming? Not a self imposed deadline - a real deadline imposed by the Trenton CSA I've joined... I'm hoping to have 26 of these "little birds" by the end of April. Wish me luck...
During my undergraduate studies, I spent a great deal of time in the painting studio working with traditional oils. Teaching middle school art for the past 12 years has taken me away from those roots. This "one a day" project is aimed at re-inspiring that creativity and technique.
