Just a little peek...

A friend has these amazing whippets - a breed of dog I truly adore.  She posts photos of them set alongside the backdrop of Valley Forge... They are stunning.  I have wanted to paint from one of her images for a long time but hadn't found the time or the right image to use.  This image really made me happy though, so I gave it a go.  I don't think the painting is finished yet but here is a little preview of the progress.  Hopefully she doesn't find it here - I'd like to surprise her with it as a gift!
